Since time immemorial, the humans have longed for the day when peace and happiness enfold the world. The God will take birth as a human and restore humanity, destroy evil and establish blissfulness. The wait for the one divine man who will fulfill all these expectations is over…..
“The Celestial Hunt” by Devikumar Ramalingam touches upon various aspects of human evolution and the science behind various beliefs. Based in Hyderabad and parts of Philippines, the book predominantly deals about a legendary piece of art- “Providential Psyches”, a book by Sangford, narrating various inspiring stories from ancient times. Jaidev, a physics teacher has a wonderful work on time machine, which plays a magnificent role in shaping the story. The story is full of twists and turns. A lot of research has gone into the book and it is clearly understood by the way in which facts have been provided with supporting proofs. The story also focuses on riots due to religious differences. It challenges the existence of God and how the universe is nothing but vacuum. The phrase “Nothing controls Everything” is the highlight of the book. The sudden disappearance of the protagonist’s father, the time machine by Jaidev and the thrilling revelations about the “Providential Psyches” will make the reader enjoy this piece of work thoroughly.
Perfect grammar and great choice of characters. The story has been portrayed beautifully with frequent hops among the various aspects and location setups. The plot flows smoothly and simple narration keeps the reader glued.
A different book, good read. (3/5)
