  • Review:

You Are My Luck by Rajdeep Mittal is the sweet love story of a emotional boy Raj who falls in love at first sight with Payal. She is the purpose of his life and his goal in life is to fulfill his purpose of living. He starts by trying to make a few good first impressions on her but fails miserably each time. He then seeks for answers, within himself, to his questions regarding Payal and finishes entire research on her, resulting in a personality table, which, when I read, made me laugh out loud, literally ๐Ÿ˜€ But that is what love does to you — it makes you the most naive person around. His personality table and a few tricks by Tushar on how to impress a girl come to his rescue and he finally manages to be friends with Payal. Their common hobbies help him multitude times in winning Payal’s heart over and over again but the question is still unanswered — does she love him just like he does?

They become fast friends first by becoming dance partners for an inter-college competition and winning the same, and then by constantly spending a lot of time with each other for whatsoever reason. Payal is a connoisseur of art and is a great admirer of Raj’s passion for painting and sketching. She helps him organize art exhibitions and herself markets each and every piece to the customer ensuring that each of his paintings are sold for what they are worth. She inspires him to express his thoughts on the canvas, and supports him the way only a friend for life would.

From strangers to friends to best friends, two years of their MBA course help them gel well with each other and just before the start of the much awaited placement process, Raj pops up the question to Payal. Will her answer be the cliched “I have never thought of us that way” or will she jump with joy and end up in Raj’s arms to make it another “happily ever after”? Irrespective of the answer, it would have a drastic effect on Raj’s life and his purpose and goals would change, whether for good or bad — you’ll find out when you read the book which will be released tomorrow, 15th December 2015!

P.S. Thanks Rajdeep for sending me a pre-release copy. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Appreciations:

A mixture of college-fun and campus love, Rajdeep has managed to write the book in a way that will keep the readers hooked to the plot till the very end. Raj’s briefs with the professors and the numerous assignments given by one of the professors portrayed a real management college life. There were a few humorous incidences in the script which were very well placed and timed and will definitely make the reader laugh. The plot moved at a fairly smooth pace. Beautiful shayari(s) and flirty lines were very well written. The story is simple and sweet.

  • Let-downs:

A few prepositional and grammatical errors here and there which can be rectified with editing in the next edition.

  • Verdict:

A romantic tale of the journey from strangers to life partners(?) You’ll find out ๐Ÿ™‚ (3/5)
